Sound in the Sandtray CPD

This is a face-to-face CPD workshop for psychotherapists, counsellors and play therapists working with adults and/or children, with at least some experience of using sand therapeutically with clients (2 days training or equivalent is a prerequisite).

This will be largely an experiential workshop and participants will be creating and working with two sandtrays each during the course.

We will also cover some theory including (1) the impact of sound and music on our nervous system, mental health, wellbeing and our sense of connection; (2) the symbolism of sound in general and that of selected specific instruments, (3) applications of sound and music within therapeutic sand work. There will also be demonstrations of some of the sound healing instruments and suggestions on what to include in your tool kit.

The workshop will be taught from the perspective of Integrative Sandplay and is suitable for sand therapists of all theoretical orientations.

Full fee £125, early bird £105 if booked with deposit paid by 1st November 2024.

Date: Sunday Monday 20th January 2025

Times: 9.30am to 5pm, with 1 hour break for lunch

Please note that Centre is not wheelchair accessible and is situated up a flight of stairs

There will be a maximum of 8 places on the workshop.
