Low-Cost Counselling at the Centre
Our Counselling Services
Our low-cost counselling services at The Sand & Sound Centre are provided by our trainee counsellors, face-to-face, on Tuesdays (morning and afternoon, we do not currently have evening slots available). In the future online counselling may also be available. Get in touch with Centre Manager, Masha Bennett, to discuss whether our service will be a good fit for you.
Who this is for
Our trainee counsellors work professionally and ethically, and have been trained to the standard approved by British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Their services are suitable for people experiencing mild to moderate level of difficulty, wishing to explore current life and work situations, challenging transitions, relationships.

Costs
At The Sand & Sound Centre we want our services to be accessible to all. Our suggested contribution per counselling session is between £10 and £20, whatever is affordable for you. (This is considerably cheaper than private counselling/therapy which may cost anything between £35 and £90.)
Counselling is offered on a short to medium-term basis, and attendance is typically weekly.
Other services which may be of interest
Sound Healing events
You may enjoy our regular sound healing events - twice monthly Gong Bath Meditation (2nd and last Friday of the month) - or the monthly Chant & Mantra Circle (usually 3rd Wednesdays of each month). Sound can help with stress relief, relaxation, pain management and improvement of overall wellbeing.
ADHD Support Group
We have a new ADHD support group for late diagnosed/self-diagnosed women starting on Thursday 23rd April.
This will be taking place fortnightly on Thursdays, 7.30pm to 9pm.

Pesso Boyden therapy
Pesso Boyden therapy is a profound healing approach for our childhood wounds, attachment issues and early trauma. At The Sand & Sound Centre it is offered as intensive group therapy during our 1 or 2 day Pesso Boyden Experiential workshops.
