Online Introduction to Sand Therapy

What is Sand Therapy?

How can Sand Therapy help?

How can Sand Therapy help?

Sand Therapy is a creative/expressive approach to healing and personal development, involving a tray of ordinary play sand (the type used in sandpits) and a range of small figures, objects and symbols. You can think of it as a three-dimensional form of therapeutic art!

Isn't this just for children? A resounding NO! Most of my clients are adults, and people of all ages, from 3 to 100+ year olds, can benefit from Sand Therapy.

Most Sand Therapy courses are open only to qualified mental health professionals, but I am determined to make it more widely available as a self-help tool to anyone committed to self-healing, thriving, personal and spiritual development.

How can Sand Therapy help?

Sand Therapy can be helpful with many aspects of our lives, for example:

Exploring relationships - Understanding inner conflicts - Developing self-compassion - Enhancing emotional intelligence -

Processing grief and loss - Decision-making - Developing intuition - Enhancing creativity and playfulness - Connecting to our True Self - Setting goals and manifesting dreams... and much more!

People of any age or background can benefit from healing, new insights, and creativity  through self-directed Sand Therapy.

IMPORTANT: If you are experiencing severe mental health difficulties, it is better to undertake Sand Therapy with a trained creative counsellor in your area.

About Masha Bennett

Sand Therapy is one of my favourite methods of self-healing (I have many in my toolbox!), and I absolutely adore working in the sand with my clients, students and supervisees.

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, and a registered Sand Therapist, Consultant and Trainer with the World Association of Sand Therapy Professionals. I have 20 years of experience in using sand in therapy and coaching.

In 2020 I have founded The Sand & Sound Centre, a hub for creative therapy and training in Greater Manchester, where I teach my face-to-face courses and workshops, as well as offering some online programmes.

Online Introduction to Sand Therapy

Sand Therapy for Self-Healing & Thriving - Friday 28th August 10am

This 1.5-hour online workshop will introduce you to Sand Therapy for self-healing, thriving and personal development. You will learn about the equipment you will need if you decide to incorporate this profound and playful approach as part of your self-care, find out about the fascinating background and history of Sand Therapy, and explore its practical applications to enhance your day-to-day life, your relationships and your creativity.

WARNING: This method of self-healing may become seriously addictive!

When

This 2-hour online workshop will take place on Friday 28th August, 10am to 11.30am BST/London time (check your time zone if outside of the UK).

Where

The workshop will be delivered via Zoom -  I recommend that you use a desktop or laptop computer rather than a phone.

Who is this for?

The workshop is open to therapists and counsellors, and also to members of general public interested in exploring Sand Therapy for self-healing and personal development. Please note that work with sand can go deep quickly, and if you are currently in crisis it may not be appropriate for you to use sand without support of a trained professional.

Do I need any equipment?

OPTIONAL: If you have access to some ordinary play sand (the sort used in sandpits) it will be helpful if you have a tray or a shallow box of dry sand available during the workshop, but absolutely fine if not.

What if I can't attend in peson?

That is not a problem! You can still go ahead and register - the workshop will be recorded and the link for replay will be sent to you afterwards, for you to access at a convenient time.

Booking

The workshop costs £16 - and is currently on sale at only £8! Use the button below to book your place
