A unique 1-day CPD workshop with Ann O'Sullivan at The Sand & Sound Centre, Greater Manchester
Date: Sunday 7th March 2026
Times: 9.30am for 10am start, finish 5pm, with 1 hr for lunch
This workshop will offer a unique insight into the world of Dementia and will emphasise the vital role that Sandplay Therapy holds for people living with Dementia. An opportunity not to be missed!
Pre-requisites: This workshop is for qualified therapists/ counsellors with at least some sandplay or sandtray therapy experience and training (minimum 2-day basic training or equivalent)
Course content:
- Sharing case studies/research and Ann's own experience.
- Gaining insights into what it is like for someone living with dementia.
- Exploring cognitive and sensory exercises in the sand.
- Information of the different stages of dementia etc
- Practicalities of working in a dementia environment
About your tutor:
Ann O'Sullivan is a creative psychotherapist, Sandplay Therapist and a Dementia awareness trainer. She has been offering sandplay therapy in a residential setting to people living with Dementia for 5+ years. You can find out more about Ann and her work through her website, Journeying in the Moment.
